First Numbers Book 1 is suitable for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage and covers: one-to-one matching, counting sets of objects and sequencing numbers to 5, correct formation of numerals to 5 and writing number words. Part 1 of a four part series, this book is designed to use a child’s urge to learn by providing fun exercises that will interest the child and appeal to the child’s basic number instincts. The main focus topics are Counting up 5, Forming the numbers 1 to 5 and Recognising the numbers 1 to 5. The exercises in each book are carefully paced, through repetition, making it easy for a child to move from one stage to the next.
